I have experimented with a couple alternative fuels , my experience with traditional bio diesel was less than smooth. I did manage to make some successful batches. One strong suggestion is a good recipe. There are a lot of variations out there and it may be difficult to choose. Mike Pelly is a very good source , he has quite a bit of experience, and has become somewhat of an authority. The second suggestion would be a good processor, I don't care if you build your own or buy it complete but make sure that it is not a cobbled together mess. This is important first and foremost because of safety, although these chemicals are reasonably easy to come by they are very dangerous. If you are interested I would strongly suggest Bio Fuel Basics, I have placed a link at the bottom of this blog. You really need a place to start, a person could spend hours tracking down this information and probably get very confused, still not sure where to start. Later I will post some other resources later but I really want any newbies to get off to a good start so they aren't discouraged. Make no mistake you will make mistakes, like anything else it requires practice and trial and error.
