I did manage to make some successful batches. One strong suggestion is a good recipe. There are a lot of variations out there and it may be difficult to choose. Mike Pelly is a very good source , he has quite a bit of experience, and has become somewhat of an authority. The second suggestion would be a good processor, I don't care if you build your own or buy it complete but make sure that it is not a cobbled together mess. This is important first and foremost because of safety, although these chemicals are reasonably easy to come by they are very dangerous. If you are interested I would strongly suggest Bio Fuel Basics, I have placed a link at the bottom of this blog. You really need a place to start, a person could spend hours tracking down this information and probably get very confused, still not sure where to start. Later I will post some other resources later but I really want any newbies to get off to a good start so they aren't discouraged. Make no mistake you will make mistakes, like anything else it requires practice and trial and error.

Probably the best thing I have ever done with alternative fuels is purchase a small centrifuge. for just a couple hundred dollars this little tool has given all of my fuel crystal clear results. I have a sample that is 6 months old that has no separation, and no floating particles. This gives me added assurance that I have removed all contaminates. I got it from dieselcraft google it and check it out.

Hi everyone, I am sorry for not posting sooner. I have decided to start a blog to share my experiences and hopefully get suggestions from others. I have successfully driven my 2005 Ford F-350 6.0 liter on blended vegetable oil, blended used motor oil, and traditional biodiesel. I have ran approximately 15000 miles with no related mechanial problems, but did experience some gelling as I live in Wyoming. In the process I have learned some lessons, made some contacts , and found some products(some good some-not so much). I will be posting about these but if you have a specific question or comment feel free to post. I look forward to hearing from you in the future, thanks, Jason
